A website to make PHC more sustainable
Mass consumption within the PHC community isn't just a sustainability concern—it's also an economic one. As members, we often find ourselves purchasing clothing at an unsustainable rate to meet the demands of events like date parties, invites, recruitment, and alumnae gatherings. This practice not only strains our wallets but also contributes to environmental waste. This PHC clothing rental platform offers a solution by allowing members to rent and lend outfits within the community, promoting both affordability and sustainability
How it Works
Submit Your Items for Rental
Start by selecting the clothing you'd like to offer for rent to fellow PHC members. Take clear photos of your items and send them to (760) 979-8857 or submit them via the Google form linked in @calphc’s Instagram bio. Be sure to include your Instagram handle, phone number, or email so interested members can reach out to you!
Wait for your clothes to be uploaded to the website
Once you've submitted your photos and contact info, your items will be processed and added to the website. This process typically takes less than a week, so keep an eye out for your clothes to appear online. You'll be notified once they’re live and ready for others to browse.
See who’s interested in your clothes
After your items are uploaded, keep an eye out for inquiries from other members. Your Instagram handle, phone number, or email will be displayed with your items, making it easy for interested renters to reach out to you directly
Arrange pick-up and payment
Once someone reaches out, exchange contact details and agree on a payment method. All clothing items are rented out for either $5, $10, or $15. Set a convenient time for the renter to pick up the clothes, and make sure to coordinate the return after use.
